Be There... a campaign to inspire parents to become more involved in their children's education. PDF Print E-mail

Parents want the best for their children; however, in today's busy society they sometimes need a little reminder, a little encouragement, a little pulling at the heartstrings to become more involved in their children's education. Research shows that when parents are involved, student achievement improves. But teachers and administrators are also busy, with minimal time to spend actively engaging parents. In addition, the old methods of attracting parents to school events do not seem to work anymore. That's where the Be There campaign comes in.

Be There is a research-based, multimedia campaign designed to inspire parents to become more involved in their children's education. It inspires adults to make ordinary moments extraordinary by relating to their children during the daily routines of life. Teachable moments are everywhere.

This ready-to-go campaign is available to school districts and educational organizations at no cost, except printing and duplication of customized materials. It's not a program or curriculum and requires minimal effort to implement.

If all parents were “there” for their children, we’d have a massive wave of confident, high achieving students in our schools. . . a wonderful goal to attain. Be There helps make it possible.
